Martha KernThis is a great read with a satisfying conclusion. My only mild complaint would be that the pace was a little slow in some sections.

Martha KernI enjoyed all of the stories but none so much as the novella, Eve in Hollywood. It was stylish and suspenseful and so evocative of the 1930’s—just thoroughly entertaining and well done.

Martha KernThis is the story of a famous family and all that befell them through several decades. There is heartbreak, of course, but the story is told with self-deprecating humor and the author is a charming name dropper, just as his father was.

Martha KernThis is my third Goolrick book. Each has been a bit dark with respect to subject matter, and each is made unforgettable with beautiful writing.
