"Ginger snaps was made for the spooky girlies! A great way to talk about periods in a fun horror way and I love the werewolf Parallels. If you where ever a emo kid this movie will make your heart sing the two sisters really play into the whole depressed teen Antics and you’ll see yourself in one if not both of them. Vibes are off the charts with this one! "

"This movie did a good job in relating with its audience. It's an interesting twist to see a teenage girl turn into a werewolf and deal with her menstrual cycle at the same time. "Ginger Snaps" is cheesy at times yet still a great werewolf movie. I'm excited to watch the second one!"

"This is the most ridiculous movie I’ve ever seen and although the last 15 minutes drag out for no reason, the plot is insane, and some of the acting is questionable, I’m still obsessed with it. It’s adorable, it’s weird, and a great allegory for puberty and growing up"

"I have attempted this widely-praised flick a couple of times and -- while duly noting the excellence of the writing, main actresses' performance, and overall direction -- I've had to stop after 20 or so minutes for the same reason both times: It's just really f---ing gross. Girls talking about/visibly getting their period on screen is one thing, and I can appreciate both how bold it kinda STILL is to do that, and the werewolf parallel. What I cannot appreciate -- nor understand why an apparent majority does -- is a dead dog. Not just one, but several in the first act alone, and not just dead but MUTILATED. Close up shots of mutilated dogs, into one of which a character falls face first and gets made fun of. If you're into that, not only will you like this, but you need therapy. Explains a lot about society, actually. If that's the actual intended horror, then bravo."
