"This movie was not at all what I was expecting. It was definitely one of the strangest movies I have ever seen. That being said, it was sinister, powerful, and hauntingly, beautiful. The movie tone and aesthetic was visually striking, and kept my attention it did take a while for me to figure out what was going on, but the ending twist and jump scares were enough to make me happy and satisfied."
"Beautiful aesthetics, good performances, an intriguing story focused on psychological horror, elements that could generate a great movie, but it doesn't develop well, it's very slow and even sleepy, it doesn't stimulate involvement from the viewer.
The movie often doesn't move forward, it repeats itself more than it evolves. I really missed the character development, which could have had much more impact than is shown."

"Dialogue was hard to understand a lot of the time and I needed subtitles. Few scenes felt unnecessarily long though most of them I actually enjoyed and added to the atmosphere.
The puppet was horrifying which immediately drew me in and was the original reason that made me want to watch this movie. Very intentionally uncomfortable and awkward watch at times, so dire that I felt myself cringe and recoil in my seat. I could really feel for the main character even when he spoke so little and was so timid. Such an important discussion and movie with a nuanced and real take on CSA. I also really enjoyed that the ending didn’t feel completely hopeless, it was very satisfactory.
Possums only play dead, after-all."
