"Lake Mungo will have you hooked and asking questions from the start. With really good acting, like this is a real thing that happened and we are watching this family figure things out about their recently Deceased daughter, things that will really throw you for a loop. There’s also a moment in this film that my boyfriend and I really found uncomfortable..we are not easily uncomfortable people. Watch it if you really need good found footage. "

"No, just no. The pretending to be real style of film is so cringe. We all know it’s fake so why are you presenting as a documentary. It’s just lazy, cheap film making. "

"I’m not a huge fan of ghost-type horror/thrillers. But, this was a pleasant surprise. I think they did a great job of making this seem as realistic as possible. Very solid acting from an unfamiliar (to me) cast. I can definitely recommend this one. "

"I finally got around to watching this last night. Despite my aversion to ghost movies (they bore me), this kept my interest. I love how the story kept me guessing and got more and more complicated"

"True crime but fictional, aka rather watch a real true crime but not bad"

"Ngl, it was good for the creepiness aspect but I could not follow the plot and get into the storyline for the life of me, it just felt like it was dragging"

"maybe the best of this genre. it’s my least fave of the horror genres. always feels like a bit of my life wasted."
