Either way, I wouldn't recommend the movie, especially if you're a fan of the books because then it just becomes really painful to watch. It leaves out huge chunks of the story necessary for understanding what actually happened, along with ruining the character development and exploration due to the missing chunks. The book, however, is absolutely amazing."

"I watched this when I was younger, and I refuse to watch it again, simply due to the sheer amount of criticism I came up with from it. The CGI wings generally look okay if it weren't for the fact that their wingspan was entirely wrong, the acting generally could have been better and the whole story of this movie doesn't even take up half of the first book itself. I think my only praise was that some of the actors looked like the way Patterson described them in the books. "
