UFC 293: Adesanya vs. Strickland

"I hope those who were talking smack about this event are eating their words right now. This card was fantastic through and through! From the prelims, we got some interesting back and forth fights, that in some cases got real bloody. Also, shout out to Mariscal's killer Harai Goshi toss, cool way to end a fight! The main card delivered some exceptional performances. Tyson Pedro and Justin Tafa kicked off the card with stunning 1st round KOs. Then, we got a banger of a fight with Manel Kape and Felipe Dos Santos , and I love to see Dos Santos come back in the octagon soon, he was fantastic in his debut against a top-10 contender. Volkov delivered an unexpected Ezikiel choke in a fight where everyone was expecting a KO at some point. Finally, we got what is probably the biggest upset in UFC history, and yes, more upsetting than Silva vs Weidman and Serra vs St. Pierre. Never in a million years would I have seen Sean Strickland beat the best MW since Anderson Silva. Strickland won this fight fair and square just by keeping everything basic, so this was far from a fluke on Adesanya's end. This upset is one of the main reasons I love this sport, the unexpected can happen at any moment! "
