Moonstruck

"This is an adaptation of Local 58's along horror short 'Weather Service'. It is not great. Weather Service is an amazing short that uses the old analog TV emergency systems as a vehicle to get the masses to succumb to the moon. Moonstruck takes that idea, gets rid of any nuance and creepiness, and turns it into a Michael Bay type experience. "For a ten-minute short horror film, this was perfectly serviceable. It's nothing life-changing, but I'm happy I saw it, and I'm happy that the people BEHIND the camera got to make their passion-piece, and I think it was fine enough. The acting was pretty good, and it's a nice little piece. The music was dramatic enough, and the special effects were okay. I'm happy it's out there, but it's not something that will have the biggest impact on me. 7/10"
