"Namesake, the second book in Adrienne Young's series, continues Fable’s journey, exploring her struggles with betrayal, shifting loyalties, and uncovering hidden truths about her family. While I appreciated the adventure and high-stakes drama, I found myself less captivated than I was with Fable. The events and intricate plot felt overwhelming at times, and I struggled to stay engaged. However, I still admire the series’ potential and its rich world-building. Despite giving this book 3 stars, I’m eager to see how the story concludes in the final installment."
"Namesake did a great job picking up where Fable left off. There was tension and stakes that felt realistic. I got to see relationships develop more between characters I didn’t expect to play a significant role in the book. I enjoyed being introduced to the other trading port where the gems are flourishing. I thought the descriptions of the opulence were spot on and I could imagine everything. We got to see more of Fable’s crafty side in this book which was entertaining. I don’t feel a need to read any more books from this world, but the duology stands on its own nicely."

"this book is very good. it is absolutely incomparable to the first book, the problems are different, the characters are different, there’s different types of action. but one thing is the same as the first book, they are both beautifully written. the description makes this book such a joy to read, i would recommend this series any time you just can’t find what to read, it’s a great filler and it’s entertaining!!
