"At the end of the story, I felt like the characters had grown, learned, and made a life of their own choosing. The “romance” in the book felt rushed and Bryn seems not to have learned to think through her decisions. The book was not very action packed, it’s mostly about learning the family and seeking out their purpose in this world. I think that a lot more could’ve been done with this book to where it felt more finished and flushed out.
I did really enjoy the overall premise of the book, with choosing your own path. The book had a mafia-family type vibe to it, she must choose loyalty or happiness. I think this is a good book, not a top choice from Young by any means, but it was interesting to see the dynamic and analyze the choices that were made.
If you enjoy mafia families, sketchy ties, or a strike at power then this would be a good book for you. "
"I love the characters in the book. They each had their special something. The storyline does get a little cliché at times, but you will get hooked to it. I love that I'm able to see what the Roths family is all about, especially since it's mentioned in the 2nd book Namesake of the Fable series. 7/10"
"⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 1/2. I really did enjoy this read, I loved going back into the world of the Narrows and seeing the Roth family in a new light. I really loved Ezra’s character and how Auster was still part of this story, even though he was not necessarily in it."

"Total fan of the first two books of the Fable series, but as I read them a while ago I fumbled along a bit until I realized who Henrik was and how he fit into the series. The story between Ezra and Bryn had me cheering for them like a fan girl wannabe. So happy that I realized this book was written."

"Bryn’s story is one of strength, and struggle and it was a beautiful end to the World of the Narrows series.

Adrienne Young never fails to amaze me with how much character development and world building she can fit into a book that already has such a detailed plot. While it was difficult to keep track of all of the different family members as they were introduced, every single character ended up adding to the story line in their own way, and having their own minor stories develop.

Overall, this has been one of the most beautiful written fantasy series I have ever read. I cannot wait to devour everything else Adrienne Young has written."
