"It was the perfect break I needed. This was a cozy fantasy with what felt like high stakes initially but really wasn’t. Definitely a spicy book with some plot. Katee Roberts as usual delivered exactly what I needed in a small neatly wrapped package. Briar was a lost girl with nothing to lose or gain, having been abused for most of her adult life, a bargain with a demon to rid herself of her would be murderer seems little a price to pay for some peace 7 years down the road, a blink of the eye really. Sol wasn’t sure what the hell to expect in a human bride auction, but a red haired, brave but broken broken soul was not it. However together they discover what it is to be vulnerable and accepted; to be courageous while facing the unknown. And really really great sex. Azazul certainly seems like he’s a typical demon making advantageous deals that heavily favor him, but is he really? And who is this Eve? Happy reading!"

But this was surprisingly sweet given the premise, and while the rest of the series seems to miss the mark, I may check out the last book when it’s released."
