"Well, these were incredibly creepy and I enjoyed almost all of them. Night Shift is an excellent short story collection. My favorites: The Boogeyman, Sometimes They Come Back, The Lawnmower Man, Quitters Inc., The Man Who Loved Flowers, One for the Road, Strawberry Spring, The Mangler, I Know What You Need, and Children of the Corn. I loved it!"

"It was alright. The stories were mostly unpredictable. Not exactly a classic but a nice read. "

"Just finished this book! It being an accumulation of his first short stories, I told myself I would read one and do other stuff. It was literally a just one more chapter type of read. He left me hungry for the next story! This one does include children of the corn and graveyard shift. "

"Some really profound, terrifying gems. Even hidden in the stories that feel flat, there's something tobe said for King's grasp of the human experience."

"I couldn't even begin to choose. His earliest: Carrie, Cujo, Salems Lot, Pet Semetery i will still pick up now and then. The Stand was great. So was IT. I love his short stories too, though: tge mist, Shawshank Redemption, The Body (Stand By Me(..latest novel I read was 11/23/1963, great story about time travel but in a way different than I've ever read before. The Green Mile is in my top 5 for sure. But i really can't possibly choose a definite favorite . his writing is so prolific."

"4.5*<br/>Since this is a collection of short stories, i feel i should at least group them all into what i liked and didn’t like so <br/><br/>Loved: Graveyard Shift, The Mangler, Trucks, I Know What You Need, Children of the Corn, The Last Rung on the Ladder<br/>————<br/>Liked: Jerusalem’s Lot, The Boogeyman, Battleground, The Ledge, The Lawnmower Man, Quitters, Inc., The Man who Loved Flowers, One for the Road<br/>————<br/>Just Ok: Night Surf, Gray Matter, Sometimes They Come Back, Strawberry Spring, The Woman in the Room<br/>————<br/>Didn’t Like: I Am the Doorway<br/><br/>Ones that stuck out to me were Graveyard Shift, which was definitely the most terrifying, I Know What You Need, because it is something that’s still so relevant today, The Last Rung on the Ladder, because it was so emotional and completely different from the others, and the Lawnmower Man, because it was so jawdroppingly weird i cannot even comprehend it completely<br/><br/>Overall, i really enjoyed this collection and was perfect to read around this time of year <br/>"
