Stephen King
Thirteen “dazzling” (Associated Press) and “wonderfully wicked” (USA TODAY) stories from #1 New York Times bestselling author Stephen King.A book salesman with a grievance picks up a mute hitchhiker, not knowing the silent man in the passenger seat listens altogether too well. An exercise routine on a stationary bicycle takes its rider on a captivating—and then terrifying—journey. A blind girl works a miracle with a kiss and the touch of her hand. A psychiatric patient’s irrational thinking might create an apocalyptic threat in the Maine countryside…or keep the world from falling victim to it. These are just some of the tales to be found in the #1 bestselling collection Just After Sunset. Call it dusk or call it twilight, it’s a time when human intercourse takes on an unnatural cast, when the imagination begins to reach for shadows as they dissipate to darkness and living daylight can be scared right out of you. It’s the perfect time for master storyteller Stephen King. Stories include: -Willa -The Gingerbread Girl -Harvey's Dream -Rest Stop -Stationary Bike -The Things They Left Behind -Graduation Afternoon -N. -The Cat from Hell -The New York Times at Special Bargain Rates -Mute -Ayana -A Very Tight Place

"Wow.....what a crazy bunch of stories....being a huge fan of Stephen King I always get excited to read his collections of short stories....this collection was great!!! I really loved 'N.' which totally creeped me out and had me thinking about my small OCD issues and trying to rationalize it all....'The New York Times At A Discount Price' is probably my favorite.....it is a very short story but it really has a touching side to it and it just really got to my heart. The last story 'A Very Tight Place' just basically GROSSED ME OUT!!!!....I have read so many of Stephen's books so I'm very used to his gross-out style.....BUT...this one made me so sick I was on the verge of pucking thru the whole story.....OMG....just sooooooo nasty!!!.......all in all I felt it was a great book with a bit of yuck in it!!!...."
"I was a big fan of this collection of short stories. I had read them all prior but finally went through and finished the introduction and liner notes at the back. Strong set of stories featured throughout, often touching on the themes of mortality. Underrated book but I really enjoyed it."
"Almost done with Haunting of Hill House and just started Sentinel by Drew Starling. Really enjoying the writing style of Drew. "
