"This book is not perfect by any means, it actually gives me fanfiction-written-by-two-friends vibes. The characters are all kinda shallow and the plot doesn't seem to really know where it is going for most of the book. All of that aside, this is a really fun book. It never takes itself too seriously and I found it enjoyable enough to wait for the next book"

I adore both Wren and Rose and their sisterhood. I have yet to pick a fav between the two
I also very much enjoyed both Tor and Shen and their dynamics with the girls but Shen Lo is a STAR and the new love of my life.

I really enjoyed the girls not wanting to give up the throne to the other but then deciding on what they did.

"I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. Although I don’t normally read romance novels, the description of this book lured me in. I was fascinated by the world of Eana and Gevra. The amount of world-building that was done shines through the compelling plot and well-developed characters. The dynamic of family, especially sisters is written well, without a single use of ‘sis’, which is always annoying. I will definitely be reading the second book."
