"This wasn't a bad book. The plot was really cool, and I liked the characters, but the book left a lot to be desired. I couldn't really tell the characters apart. Personality wise, it felt like everyone was the same person. Even with the audiobook having 2 narrators for the two perspectives wasn't quite enough to distinguish the two characters at times. The plot was incredibly slow. I found myself listening at x2.75 speed just to get the story moving! As a debut novel this makes me want to keep an eye out for the next series Ciannon Smart writes. Buy I wanted to DNF this book from early on and wasted hours thinking it would pick up. It didn't."

"4/5 stars. I loved the story and the culture throughout this book. The only drawback was the attempt at romance. It just didn’t feel fully developed. Overall though this was an amazing book, so much so I’d give it a re-read. I love the queer rep as well! "
