"All that I can say is it’s OK. It doesn’t really hold my interest and the only reason that I was reading. This was to wait for the introduction of Manfred and Xylda. Manfred ( if you dont know is from the Midnight Texas books which I loved!) I have now read 2 of the series and I don’t really care to continue. "

"Harris has some good books out there. I don't remember her other books regurgitating the same things over and over and over like these two books so far. Harris wasted more words than she should have to remind us readers of how things work for Harper. A good reminder at the beginning, maybe, is all we need.

I liked the story, but at the same time skimmed a good portion of this."
"I enjoyed this book. And I really like when I can not figure out who the murderer was. This one stumped me and I'm pretty pleased that Ms Harris seemed to mislead me on purpose.
what I didn't like were some incomplete story thoughts that Harper held about midway through the book. I need more clarification but I didn't get it. Maybe this will present itself in book 3 or 4 and I'll get the closure or understanding I need.
Overall this was a good book. I like that I've gotten a little insight into Harper's skills."
