"There were things I didn’t like about this book, BUT it was an okay read, not what I expected."

"This was a fun urban fantasy read. The MC was quirky in a fun way and the world building was pretty good (even though you're left kinda wanting background on how they got to this point). The pacing of the plot was pretty good, although there were times I wish we'd had more detail. I also really liked that there was zero romance in this book, which I feel is rare for fantasy, which is why I rarely read it. Overall, don't expect fine literature from this book, but absolutely read it if you want something fun and easy to get through, without too much tugging at heartstrings or interpersonal drama. I am eager to read the next one. "
"This book was a little of a tough start. I was not a huge fan of the jargon used in the book but it grew on me as I got to know Ropa a little better. In the end it was a super interesting read/page turner and I would love to see where it goes in the next few books in the series. I already ordered them all. Overall a cool read. "
"Personally I had a hard time with this book. "

"Overall really enjoyed it. It did take a while for me to warm up to the voice / how the story was told, but once I was in the thick of the mystery, understood the world/magic system, I was solid. Im really interested to see how the next book in the series play out. If you’re looking for a cozy mystery series with a hint of magic, this is for you!"
"Ropa is a strong and feisty individual. A little weird and quite strange being that she can communicate with ghost and travel to the everyThere.
It was a little slow at times but otherwise good.
She talks to ghosts and send messages back to their loved ones. I like the idea of a ghost talker though. It’s different. But she needs money so she is hesitant to help anyone without payment. But then kids went missing and then coming back different.
I wanted to find the kids. "
"The first 150 pages were pretty dang slow. But the book really some intensity in the second half! Ropa is definitely a strong character for the mere age of what barely 14 years old?!"
