"In a word, this book was hot. It was a easy reading short story filled with heat. The story is from Abigail’s POV and the only two people who actually speak are her and Makenzie.

Abigail, who had a wicked crush on the younger Mackenzie, finally gets up the nerve to make a move. She is sorely rebuffed leading her to attempt the epic revenge. Mackenzie, who has had negative experiences with women pretending to be interested as an office dare, doubts Abigail’s attraction when the older woman approaches her, so she blows her off! Big mistake!!

As always the narrator was wonderful and really made the story pop. I loved the way she differentiated the two women.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review."
"I really liked the plot and the resolution. I enjoyed the book thoroughly despite hoping for some love scenes. There was one implied love scene in the book, but no deliberate spice. There is very good tension between the characters, however it never truly gets resolved, as Lizzy doesn’t include it. The ending was fairly quick and while it was very satisfying, I wish that the fate of the antagonist was expanded further. Overall, 7.5/10. I don’t recommend to anyone who wants lots of spice, however I do and I still liked the book. I think it’s a great choice for someone who isn’t comfortable with explicit sex scenes but still wants a good romance."

"The Sweetest Revenge is a perfect summer read if you're looking for a bit of comedy, a comeback story, and some love mixed in along the way. Amy and Jake are a perfect match of two people who have each suffered some epic viral humiliation (public urination on a car?! jumping off a cliff to escape reality tv?!) and are building themselves back up.

[Note: As I wrote this opening graph, I realized that Amy (the female MC) working on The Comeback Special for her network CTV is an extended metaphor for her personal comeback story that plays out throughout the novel. It's clear that my brain was not fully functioning from 4a-6a when I read this!]

Often times lately I have been reading books and feel like there are a lot of superfluous characters that are only there to fill space rather than add to the plot. The nice thing about this book for me was that every character who Dent bothered to introduce to the reader ended up playing some type of role in the overall arc of the narrative. Phew!

Thanks to NetGalley for the digital ARC."
