"A sad poignant true story of a young girls journey from Auschwitz to Russian Gulag. Amid the horror and injustice, she finds friendship, love and meaningful work training to be a nurse."

"In all honesty, I enjoyed the afterword and all the factual information that was given to the readers at the end of the book more so than the tedious and fictitious story that was written. Some of it was interesting and kept me wanting to know more but for large sections of the book I thought ‘should I even finish?’<br/>I guess if you like historical fiction you may very well like this book, but I was hoping for less fiction and more history and historical data/content."

"A heartbreaking story of a woman who just got out of a concentration camp…only to be sent to a Soviet Union Work Camp because she was one of the SS Soldiers “favorites”. This book is all about her life at the Soviet Union camp. If you wanna read about her life at the concentration camp read “The tattooist of Auswitz” though she is not the pain character in that book. "
