"Triple POV and available on KU. Just when I think this series can’t get hotter I am proven wrong! This book has spice from beginning to end. Lots of themes of self discovery and acceptance. This is not what I was expecting based on other reviews and recommendations but it was great none the less! I feel like there is always a little less depth of character when there are more that two POVs and people in a relationship and that was the case I little in this one. Overall this series is great! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶+/5 Also all of the books could be read as stand alones! "
"I’ve been enjoying this series mostly because it’s very spicy and also easy to read. The books follow a very similar format which makes reading them even easier. However, I feel like I could have done without Isabel as a character in this story or at least enjoyed the story without getting chapters written in her perspective. She didn’t seem like a purposeful addition and I don’t feel like we ever really got to know anything about her as a character in the same ways that we did Hunter or Drake."
"The **** was well written but everything else was a train wreck.

Let’s start out with the fact that the FMC was seventeen when she started dating the MMC who was twenty three at the time. TWENTY THREE. I don’t understand why authors who have full creative control decided to pick ages that make relationships illegal. There’s nothing sexy about dating a minor. It’s even worse because this detail is only mentioned in flashbacks so it wouldn’t have been hard to change or omit completely. And it’s even EVEN worse when the characters essentially acknowledge the age gap.

“When I met him, I was a doe-eyed seventeen-year-old virgin. He was a twenty-three-year-old tattoo-covered criminal who did what he had to, to survive.”

Did he really need to date a seventeen year old girl to survive? I doubt it. It’s giving grooming, especially considering the FMC’s childhood is repeatedly described as lacking love from her family.

Then we get into issues of consent. For the most part, all the actions that took place in the novel seemed to be consensual. But every so often a quote was said like the one below that just gave the vibe the characters were being coerced instead of enthusiastically agreeing to sexual activity.

“Even if I say no. Even if Isabel already did. Hunter will somehow get us to say yes and he’ll get what he wants because he always does.”

AND, there was a “sexy food fight” and I’ve never liked when food is brought into sex. It seems unhygienic to me and I can never wrap my head around why someone would want chocolate sauce (for example) near their private parts. How is that safe?!

I will give the author credit for taking the time for the couple to transition from just two people + a best friend into a true throuple. I liked that each character has to take time to process and all decided when they were at a healthy point emotionally instead of making a rash decision. And like I said at the beginning… the book was spicy and those scenes were well written. I just wish some of the other issues were not present.

Thank you to Edelweiss for the advanced copy in exchange for an honest review."

"Well It’s so fkin obvious at this point.

No denying it anymore.

I am cursed.

Cursed to never find a good MMF.

Yep.

Out of the dozens of MMFs I've encountered, I keep thinking it's gonna be a good one, but nope. It's always disappointment that waits for me.

And out of the dozens of MMFs I've read, maybe 2 of them were decent in portraying a poly relationship...

How sad...

And they always manage to have the SAME flaw... somehow.

It's like those authors got together and conspired against me as a reader.

These authors seem to want to write an MM love story, but for some reason, they add a female character in the middle. A female character who serves no purpose except make me feel like she's wearing out her welcome...

It makes me soo000oo0 uncomfortable.

I mean, if you follow this story, you will see that Isabel was a third wheel.

She was an inconvenience, really, in Hunter and Drake's love story. Two men who are SOULMATES (Hunter's words) and they figure it out later in life when Hunter finally "comes out."

Like, why was Isabel there? I'm so confused...

Literally, why write a throuple when all you want to do is write an MM?

Why do it? To annoy me?
Well done! You've succeeded then.

And another note, the worst thing, Isabel was like a cheerleader, lol. Rooting for Hunter (her husband) to get together with Drake...

Girl, are you stupid? Blind? Can't you see you're not wanted?

Things were sooo unequal.

I mean, seriously, remove her POV, and the story will be the same, I am not being funny... seriously, try it.

It was so obvious Hunter and Drake wanted each other waaayyy more than either of them "loved" Isabel.

Pool gal.

But at the same time, she is very pathetic for not respecting herself and staying in that mess.

There were other things that annoyed me, like Drake blatantly saying he could never settle down with one gender, cause he would cheat with the other...

Oh, lovely... I love me some negative bisexual stereotypes!

And the fact Drake and Isabel went weeks without having sex because Hunter wasn't there, but Hunter and Drake slept together fine when Isabel wasn't there...

I mean, you could tell it was because the author obviously wasn't in this business to make us readers connect with Drake and Isabel and make them explore their "connection..." too.

And the fact that Drake and Isabel never really "fell" in love in this book, neither did Hunter and Isabel though, especially since the author made the husband and wife's love story predate the book's events.

Telling me Isabel and Hunter are in love was not enough... especially since you spent the entire book showing me how Hunter is in love with Drake and wants Drake... so...

So the only true love story that I read was between Hunter and Drake.

So, this book is miscategorized as MMF.

It's MM."
