"Edited: After learning about this author more I revoke my stars. I will not read anything or support this author again. Now I know why the book was in the free/discard section of the library. For someone who is trying to bring awareness to the abuse trans people go through, she is a pretty abusive person.
I’m between 2.5 and 3 stars. This book was well written and had good character development, however, this book seemed longer than it needed to be and I wasn’t really sure what I was really supposed to be looking for as an endgame for the story until the last few chapters. I appreciate the explanation and effort put into the subject matter. Understandably this is a hard topic for anyone to discuss but I appreciated that it wasn’t done with an in your face manner. I didn’t realize the topic until I started reading it and only picked it up because the title and cover intrigued me."
"I’m not really sure how I feel. I enjoyed this book but the ending I wasn’t very pleased with. It felt like so many horrible characters and only one good one. It felt like the ending was her finding herself. I felt like the ending left us on the unknown. So it was good but I wouldn’t read it again."
