"This is a fantastic and sort of cheeky way to present history, but I loved it. The documentary format is a bit of a docu-series, with scenes acted out, in which the characters constantly break the fourth wall and look directly into the camera. The historians involved seem to have fun revealing a different side to these historical figures that we've come to know and sometimes obsess about reading and viewing. Each episode is about 25 minutes, but I learned a great deal about the historical person and the circumstances in which they lived. Queen Elizabeth, Caligula, and Napoleon are just some of the rulers and figures featured in this limited series of 14 episodes. I will definitely watch this again because it was so entertaining. I found it on the free streaming service TUBI. "
