"What a weird show… but *weird* is one of the reasons I like anime. Essentially a dark and gritty, somewhat “realistic “ take involving magical girls. War against a gruesome yet cute-ish monsters force that’s smart enough to try PsyOps: ✅, magical girls are all but integrated as elite members of their home country’s military: ✅, the spec-ops division that two of our Japanese gals come from disguised as a maid cafe: ✅, the cute mascot character is a decent tactician: ✅, PSTD magical veterans: ✅, interrogations done in such a fetishistic fashion it’ll make you say “Geneva convention, what?: ✅, and that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Would watch just for the spectacle alone if you can stomach it. "
