"I watched the whole first season in a day. I would not say this is a family show (violence, gore, profanity) I wouldn't show this to your kids unless you want them to have nightmares. It is refreshing to see Vampires portrayed differently than the typical "sexy/romantic vampires" that usually are associated with them."
