"Seen the first 2 episodes so far. I really like it so far. A really solid continuation of the World War II miniseries started by Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg. Really like the characters in this series to date, with fantastic performances (Barry Keoghan, Callum Turner, and especially Austin Butler MVP (Austin in particular has an undeniable old school movie star charisma, reminiscent of James Dean in a sense, and I’m looking forward to seeing his future project choices)). Fantastic cinematography and production design as well. Will write a more detailed review as the series wraps up, but it’s a really engaging start to the series so far. Highly recommended.
UPDATED REVIEW: Such a fantastic series overall! Strong storytelling, performances and production values across the board, along with shining spotlight on pilots who otherwise I may never have known (such as Robert "Robie" Rosenthal for instance (played to perfection by Nate Mann), who frankly deserves a biopic film of his own) including the Tuskegee Airmen (I'm so glad that a show of this magnitude did not forget to highlight their contributions). Hands down my personal favorite episodes are Episodes 5 and 6, which stood out especially for it's storytelling (both episodes were co-directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, who deserve more appreciation in my view; I personally believe that their co-direction of CAPTAIN MARVEL makes it one of the best and most subversive MCU movies ever). I also was surprised by the focus on Stalag Luft III (the site of the famous GREAT ESCAPE) and also how the series splits itself onto 3 distinct acts (with the third act being on the camp).
All in all, this is a worthy addition to the Steven Spielberg/Tom Hanks World War II series trilogy (along with BAND OF BROTHERS and THE PACIFIC) that manages to become it's own thing while also shining much needed spotlight on people who otherwise many may not have known."

"*DNF* had stunning special effects, as you'd expect from Spielberg, but the storyline felt lacking. The characters just didn’t feel authentic, and I couldn’t get invested in their fates. The disjointed nature of their development made it hard to care about what happened next. Plus, Austin Butler’s voice still has an odd Elvis-like quality that distracted me throughout. "
"A great cast a great script with excellent special effects, combined with real life events of several Americans. Any World War II history, buffs, or people that want to know more about the aviation part of World War III history will enjoy this movie."
