Judge Dee's Mystery

"I am so thrilled to have another fantastic historical fiction drama to binge. Di Renjie, a real politician of ancient China, is the main character of this series. I have seen many of the movies, called Detective Dee, based on books written about the possible course of Di's life as a Chancellor during the Tang and Wu Zhou dynasties. This is indeed the best I have ever seen so far. Each episode is better than the last. Just about every four to five episodes, there is a new case for Di to solve. The locations, set design, scripts, actors, costume design, and everything else about this series is of excellent quality. Each case is completely different from the other, and is so intelligent and suspenseful. I haven't been thus excited about a series since I watched the Korean horror series Kingdom. I am comparing these two series because of the immersive nature of the production. As a viewer, I truly feel as if they are witnessing events in ancient China. I will be sad when I have to wait for each episode to air weekly on Netflix after I have caught up to the current episode. Mandarin Chinese audio."
