"I loved watching every moment of this documentary. It was like rewatching parts of my childhood. This series was groundbreaking, and eventually become international. Over the years, I always had questions about the athletes and what happened to them after the series was cancelled. In a lot of ways, this series had a lot in common with G.L.O.W., in that the show itself was a phenomenon, but almost as quickly faded into obscurity. The athletes had to find their way after riding on a high wave of popularity. Although there were heartbreaking parts of each interview, it was great to see these strong group of people tell their story oin their own words, accompanied by portions of episodes and home video. I binged the entire documentary in one afternoon."
"I initially enjoyed watching this series but about halfway through I realized that I was losing interest. That being said, I think it would have served the audience better had it been shorter. That sense of nostalgia kind of disappeared the longer I watched. I think they could have told the story in about half as many episodes. But overall it was good. 6/10"
"This is an interesting mini-series, providing a brief review of the timeline of the show. ‘Behind the scenes’ stories from the cast range from amusing and endearing to eye-rolling cringe.
Overall, I think this series is worth the watch, even if (like me) you were never a fan of the show."
"S'ok. Basically, it's documentary about the relationship between workers and employers under capitalism. Workers get shafted. Who knew...."
