"I'm stuck on the couch, recovering from surgery, so this is the perfect time to binge watch 1923, the other Yellowstone prequel. I think this might be my favorite of all the Dutton family stories. At the heart of this epic tale is the love story of Spencer and Alexandra. From the wilds of Africa, spanning continents and enduring the most brutal trials and tribulations, Spencer and his bride stop at nothing to get home to Montana to save his family and the Yellowstone ranch from those who want to take it. Timothy Dalton plays a vile and despicable antagonist that you'll completely despise. The rest of the cast is amazing and there are many subplots and plenty of action to keep even the most discerning viewer engaged. And, of course, Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren give stellar performances as expected. But Brandon Sklenar is the true star of this series and his portrayal of Spencer Dutton is written as close to a superhero as you can get. It makes for fabulous storytelling. I watched the entire two seasons in two days, and now I don't know how to fill the void. I want and need a third season. 10/10"

"Watched the first half of season one. Now it’s on hiatus for a few weeks. Tried to was til all eps were streaming but couldn’t do it. Very good. Paced and shot exactly like 1883, which I loved. Has some really good action scenes and if you want romance, this is your show. "

"It's not 1883, but it's okay though it's full of lines cheesier than a Martha Stewart casserole. I think Taylor Sheridan ran out of all the good lines in 1883. Talking stars? Come on. Still a good watch though."

"First season finale released this day, 02/26/23, with 4 (at least) intertwined cliffhanger endings. Now need to wait for start of 2nd season to find out how this drama all plays out......."

"An immediately grabbing, thrilling drama that enthralls viewers in the same betrayal and cunning that Yellowstone is so loved for. Follows a family fighting to protect their legacy, through any means necessary, but it proposes something new as you follow the story of a Native American girl held captive by religious invaders and a romance between 2 people who seek adventure. I found myself absolutely addicted and felt like there was always something new brought to the story. UPDATE AFTER SEASON 2: I think this had some real potential and is a beautiful world they've created. My issue is 2-fold; Taylor Sheridan both takes too long to reach certain points (it is an obvious attempt to prolong the story and ends up feeling frustrating) , and Sheridan is obviously a little nihilistic. He puts so many characters through such extreme pain and suffering, only to kill every single one of them. It sets a bad precedent and becomes extremely emotionally exhausting to watch. Season 2 greatly dropped my love of this show because it felt like an obvious painful cash grab and there was no love for the characters."
