"We are big 'Survivor' fans in our house, so this reboot of another Mark Burnett adventure competition hooked us almost immediately. A hybrid of Survivor and Amazing Race. Compelling backstories on the competitors really pull you in. One note of caution, especially for parents of young kids: we were surprised, in a bad way, by two unnecessarily graphic scenes in the first episode -- one gory, and the other gross. "
