Brian strongIt's been a while since I enjoyed all subplots and characters in a lengthy book. I did in this one. This second book was better than the first one, which was also quite good. The story is about a boy taken to become the body double of the prince.

This was a 5 star book for me. It's the second book in a series starting with the Sword Catcher. I loved Clare's dialog and character development. The premise is a boy that was abducted to become a look alike to the prince to protect him from threats. They become best friends while growing up. Would recommend if you like Royal life d'éviction, ruthless political conspiracies, light magic, bromance and romance subplots without spice. If you have read this or Sword Catcher please post thoughts.
Brian strongEntertaining book about a halfling (half fae half human) joins a conspirracy to kill the king even though as the Blade she was forced to kill halflings based on the king's orders. Due to her background many of her fae co-conspirators don't trust her.trust her
Brian strongT his is an epic fantasy series. Almost a 5 star rating. The world building and plot were superb, the character development and dialog not quite as much.
Brian strongThis complex plot came together at the end of the book. My issues were that the start of the book was slow and 2 of the 3 subplots and protagonists didn't interest me
Brian strongThis was my first book by this author and I was reasonably captivated. It was a mix of crime and supernatural, which is a combo that is not normalement my cup of tea. I did like the two main protagonists, especially the female protagonist.
