"Donnie Yen directed this action packed adventure about Li Qian, a man who leads the largest gang in the province in which he lives. He is accused of murder, and spends most of this story trying to prove his innocence, and also learns of his true past. As always, Donnie delivers incredibly coordinated martial arts stunts, and other fight scenes while on horseback. The acting is excellent, the locations are great, and the story is fantastic. Keep watching after the last act for a few scenes which further tie up the loose ends of the main story. Cantonese and Mandarin audio. "

"Director/star Donnie Yen’s epic about a magical, air bending, Shaolin warrior based on a series of fantasy books from the 60’s. It was ok. A lot of plot. But the action scenes, shot in the bloodless, crouching tiger way, are really good. Took me a while to get used to Yen’s new face. Even weirder was it appears they were CGI’ing it onto the stuntmen. The series had something like five books, and this leaves it wide open to sequels. It’s worth a watch for the action movie die hards. "
