Sam is a professional boxer about to get released from prison. While on parole, his past catches up with him and he has no choice but to flee. Five years later, he has rebuilt a simple life on an exotic island in Thailand with his wife and her daughter, but when he gets blackmailed by a dangerous local godfather, he must embark on a dangerous drug smuggling mission which results in a tragedy. Now he has only one purpose: to seek merciless vengeance.

"For a movie that is titled Mayhem! we don't get a lot of it. This multi- language revenge movie finally delivers the fight choreography that we were promised from the trailer in the last 30 minutes. Up until then, they concentrated on the story setup which could have been done in half the time which would have left more screentime for more bloody fight sequences. But the fight sequences we did get were expertly crafted with inventive perspectives, jaw dropping kills, and raw brutality... I just wish there was more of it. And to top it off, it ended on such a melancholy note, though I guess that was to be expected considering the way the story went. Still, an interesting watch, just not as good as I hoped it would be. 6.5/10"
