"⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ loved the history and complex political examination. Who knew all the implications of our standard piece of clothing! Blue jeans are something you don’t really think about too much beyond fit, style and comfort. But wow so much to the why/how of becoming and continuing to be the foundation of pretty much everyone’s wardrobe. It was fascinating! Thanks to @Carolyn1 for recommending!"
"I was riveted by Riveted, & this doc covers a lot in only 60 minutes. So interesting to see the history of how & when this garment was made, who it was made for/the reasons, who made them, what jeans represented in different decades, the marketing, & how jeans evolved. I learned of several past brand names I've never heard of before. I liked the very old b&w (as well as newer) footage of various types of people wearing a variety of jean styles. However, I thought they could have included more recent info toward the end such as jeans having generally become a more accepted form of wear for office workers beyond casual Friday, plus reasons. Jeans are wonderful imo. Don't know how I could live without them. This doc made me appreciate jeans all the more.
