"Wasn’t as great as the first one but it was ok "

"Surprisingly, it is a great sequel. Not only does it capture the majesty of the killer whales and the true challenges or as face, but it also continues the story in a believable way. Jesse returns and of course he can't just go to the pool to see Willy anymore. But that doesnt mean he's not gonna try. He's never forgetting Willy and is gonna take trips to whale spot. Now that's what makes sense. His family still has things to work through, which is realistic considering you don't simply adopt and all your problems go away. Even with that added touch, you can see how the bond has grown and expanded. From both ends. Jesse understands his foster parents more and they understand him. It feels real. The cinematography expanded and retained the originals wow factor. I still don't understand how most of the shots and or tricks are done. Honestly, someone explain in detail how they got those scenes captured, please! The bonus features really only ever cover the wild shots. The plot is good even if it doesn't make sense 100% of the time. The added new element seems a bit forced at times yet it strangely had the effect to not only grow on you but also capture your interest. That dynamic between the previous movies characters and plot meshes well. Technically there are 2 new of these but one is much more prevalent than the other. I'm not gonna spoil anything so I won't say anymore on that subject, you'll understand after you watch it what I mean. Nearly every character and actor returns. The only one that doesn't they don't address. Which I think one passing line could've cleared that part up but as for the rest it's just so nice to see a sequel retain the first movies cast. Overall, it shocked me how well this did. It even kept the feel and suspense of the original movie. Moments repeat on this new storyline that occurred in the first one. Just well done. "
