The Three Musketeers: Milady

"This is the second movie of the two movie series featuring our sword-wielding heroes in 1600s France. I also watched this movie in the original French language, but English dubbing is available on Hulu streaming. This second movie is about an extended plot by an unknown person to seize King Louis XIII's throne. It also involves the war between Catholics and Protestants which is heating up in Europe. The Musketeers are also embroiled in a court case to prove the Innocence of their commander. At times the court case, used as a backbone of the entire movie, seems unneeded. A few of the characters that I felt were vital to the plot don't get enough screen time, or are used to do stupid things that make no sense to further the sense of danger, and their need to be rescued. The last act of the movie and series ended so abruptly that I honestly thought that there was a third movie. I felt cheated out of a better send-off for the characters that had just come to know. Oh well...French audio with English dub available."
