"The story feels overall under-developed/unfinished, the scare/thrill factor isn’t really there, I feel like some things surrounding the boy’s blindness could be improved (i.e. how he moves around his house, at points he seems to stumble but if you live in a house for so long you start to subconsciously remember the small things even if you have sight. it’s also hard to tell if he’s completely blind or can see lights and shadows), and just overall the foreshadowing and telling of past events are lacking. If you want to get nit picky, the cinematography as a whole could also be improved; the camera is too close to the subjects at times, which occasionally is good but when it’s consistently too close the scenes feel claustrophobic. Some of the few good things is the sound design, I think the background music and sounds are done well. The actors were also well cast, and the scenes at night weren’t too difficult to see (the only downside is it was hard to tell if it was dusk vs night)."
