"B movie number 4. Japanese action/fantasy by the acclaimed anime guy who did the Evengelion series. Humans are augmented with insect DNA to give them exceptional powers and too cool costumes. It’s way too long and I felt they botched the ending. But I had a lot of fun with the cheesy yet impressive FX and action sequences. I’m sure my state of mind made this better than it actually is but no regrets giving it a few hours of my Sunday. "

"Really digging the Shin-Verse so far. Shin Godzilla is absolutely amazing and this isn't quite as good as that but its still a lot of fun. It's probably one of my favorite movies of the year so far. I'm not super familiar with Kamen Rider so I can't speak to its accuracy but it's ridiculous concepts mixed with over-the-top melodrama and a droplet of ultraviolence which plays really well together. I might have liked to see more Riders in a bombastic sentei team up but I'm hoping that will come later into the Shin-Verse assuming it continues."
