"I cannot believe that this incredibly acted film flew under my cinephile radar for so long. This tense drama, with banter that reminds of His Girl Friday with Cary Grant, stars Edward G. Robinson as a big city lawyer on a career-making case against mobster Lorne Greene. Brian Keith is the sarcastic cop who is guarding the only person to testify in the case, fast-talking prisoner Ginger Rogers. The whole film takes place over a two-day period while Rogers awaits the beginning of the court case. I was absolutely riveted to the television 📺 screen every minute. The cast worked extremely well together, and the storyline flowed so well."
