"I’m really surprised by how much I enjoyed this. A surprisingly feel good comfort watch, with a stellar lead performance by Clint Eastwood himself (as well as Eduardo Minett). Equally impressive is the man’s stamina to direct and star (in a leading role no less) in his 90s! On top of that, I love the emphasis it has on human connections, and how people can influence each other (both directly and indirectly) over time. Simple, old-fashioned filmmaking at it’s most effective."

"7/10
I'll be honest, I probably wouldn't have picked this movie out myself but I had to watch it for a college class. However, it ended up being an okay watch. While some characters' acting is sub-par the young boy who played Rafo really carries the scenes he's in. I can genuinely say I would recommend this though it's not likely to end up as a top 5 all time favorite. "
"He’s still got it! Went to enjoy family night at the movies 🎥. I was not disappointed with Clint Eastwood’s new atmospheric and heartfelt film. Here, he shows the importance of influence in a compelling way. So many good things to glean from this movie. My 11 year old daughters were pleasantly surprised to love it so much and were fully immersed in the story. Thanks Mr Eastwood. #drama #eastwood #macho #rooster "
"Good, quiet, simple, touching movie, just like Eastwood knows so well how to make. Nothing showy here. Stick with it, it starts really slow, even somewhat empty, but gets much better, and has a lot more emotions, later. Am I the only one who thinks that Eastwood is leaving us a bit of wisdom in everyone of his latest movies? To me, they feel like a series of loving letters to his audience. Other reviews leads me to believe that Cry Macho will appeal to most everyone, from 10 to 100 years old, and that each will find in it his/her own piece of treasure. Only a true master of his art can achieve that. Love you Clint, thank you for another beautiful gift."

"It was a terrible movie. When he has made so many great films this was truly disappointing."
