Teenage Andrea Carson who loves motocross, despite her father finding her unsuited for the sport, being that she is "just a girl". When her twin brother Andrew breaks his leg just before a big race, their father is forced to go to Europe to find a replacement rider. In the meantime, Andrea secretly races in Andrew's place with her mother's help.

"i thought the movie was fine until it turns out the main character andi shares my first and middle name (andrea rose) and when the mom yelled her name in the movie, i genuinely thought my own mom was mad at me so i went to find her and see… turns out it’s just the movie! i laughed so hard and i’ve loved it ever since, especially because im nonbinary and i love movies like mulan, i feel a connection with that. one of my favorites for sure! "
