"Spooktober: I watched the first two Devilman OVAs and infamous dubs aside they kind of rule. They have a good mix of brutal animation and interesting ideas. For a more polished version you could watch Devilman Crybaby on Netflix but I like that these are rough around the edges. I even dig the dub. I liked the first one a bit better than the second one. They both have brutal fight scenes, hilarious dubs, and id say the second one has even more interesting concepts for the demons. However the first one has more character for Akira and the fact that there's less fighting makes the fight scenes more interesting. The fight scene with the titular demon bird dragged a little even though it started and ended strong. Ultimately they're both worth watching imo but I haven't seen the third ova yet."
