"I liked this. It’s Cena moving away from playing goofballs. And if Sly, Arnold and Samuel can do it, let 69 year old Jackie do his thing. About halfway through I started wondering if it would have been a better movie had they not played it so over the top. But then it got even crazier/sillier that I thought, nope this is cool. Let’s have fun. But 15 years ago? I probably would’ve dismissed it, like I almost did this time. "
"I thought the storyline was kind of weak, but Jackie Chan doesn’t disappoint with the fighting scenes as always"

"Buddy cop vibe, or whatever you call it when two action stars team up, usually not liking each other at first. Buddy cop? Thought so.
Nothing spectacular. Nothing I haven't seen before. But still fun and funny, like Jackie Chan himself. Both actors take on tried and true characters that they're used to playing but they were a nice match. Decent chemistry. 3/5*s"
"So John Cena and Jackie Chan have a film together, what could go wrong? Well....a lot. Both are great actors known for their comedic action roles. The problem is the writers tried to add comedy to this movie as an afterthought and it dulled what could have been a much better movie. Also jumping back and forth from Chinese to English was poorly executed. This only got 3 stars out of respect for 2 great actors given badly written roles. "
"Just couldn't get into this movie. I slipped in and out of consciousness because I was so bored. It was poorly written. The writers put in too much comedy while trying to have an over the top action movie. Jackie Chan doesn't disappoint but it could have been better. I have no desire to go back and rewatch what I fell asleep on. I doubt if I'm missing out on a great film. "
"Jackie Chan delivers a couple well choreographed fight scenes and John Cena is decent with his one liner timing and action scenes. However they had very little chemistry together with the comedy or the action. The CGI is absolutely horrible. It looked so bad in some spots I thought it was a retro full motion video game from the early 90's...in fact this movie feels dated and would be right at home in that era. No real reason to watch this unless you are that big of a Chan fan. Otherwise you can skip this one. Please check out the podcast for a more detailed review. Link is in the bio. Thanks!"
