"I believe that this movie exists purely so that the Rock can play a superhero. With that in mind, I went into this movie expecting to hate it (especially because I prefer Marvel movies over the DCEU.) But I didn't hate it. I didn't love it either. But I was entertained. Hawkman was a bad ass. The other actors did a great job in their supporting roles. In fact, the Rock was the least appealing of everyone involved. But overall, not a bad movie. 7/10"

"After roughly of 15 minutes of pure, anadulterated exposition, this horrible movie started. I never thought I would be happy to see the rocks face, but atleast the movie eventually began, that being said it was not a great experience. It follows every trope and every cliche imaginable. The cinematography is boring, the usual gray and brown colors constantly fill the screen, making it so incredibly bland to look at. The comedy is out of place and ruins the serious tone the movie was obviously striving for. Black Adam was so poorly constructed , it almost seems like a parody of MCU movies. The one good thing I'll say about this movie is someone FINALLY got Dwayne out of his brown button up and white t-shirt combo. "

"I knew when I saw this movie getting dragged on Twitter yesterday I was going to like it. Some of those comic book people are spoiled and feel entitled. This was great. The special effects are just downright amazing, the comedy is hilarious and The Rock was fantastic. Everything doesn’t have to be the best ever. But this was the most fun I’ve had with a movie in a bit. "

"Initially struggles to find its footing but once the Justice Society enters the story it becomes more fun to watch. Dwayne Johnson’s anti-hero presents an intriguing new dynamic to the DCEU, one which I hope will be explored more than it was here, as the film can be too busy at times. Solid visual effects. Weak villain. The post-credits scene got the biggest reaction of all."
