"Ok as always, the book was better, deeper and somewhat different.
I get that a film script and a novel don’t have to be identical, but certain details make all the change and when left out the story isn’t exactly the same.
***spoiler alert***
1. Where’s doctor Levy? Here Mr. Wright comes to check on the girls alone. Dr levy is the one who suggests leaving the girls alone in the book.
2. At the end, Charles comes over alone and is killed by Merricat, whereas in the book, he comes with a friend who wants to get some pictures of the girls and sell them. Then they finally leave when no one answers the door bell. Leaving this out and changing it with Charles’ murder kinda amplifies the cruelty of Merricat, and somehow romanticises Charles. (🤢)
All in all, it wasn’t a bad watch, after a very long pause. "
"Definitely an interesting movie, the story line was alright, I think what kept me watching was the familiar faces in the movie like Sebastian Stan and the girl from AHS murder house. Good watch if you have nothing else 🤷♀️"
