"did not finish. a dog was hit offscreen and strangled onscreen (its a stuffed dog for that scene, but STILL) and i could tell it would only get worse with regards to the nasty family dynamics. an interesting perspective on the messy aftereffects of the vietnam war on the psyche of young men (and to a lesser extent, the way war shut down the emotional vulnerability and communication in the generation of men who survived WW2), but not one i particularly want to finish."
