"Just watching this star studded movie from the early years. It touches on a lot of subjects that still effects us today. How they made sure Blackmen stay out of the family home. After introducing welfare it’s a catch 22 for underprivileged families. The feminist movement etc . I don’t like how they made being independent look bad. And made it bad that black women shouldn’t have relationships if they want public assistance for their children. The black woman actually wanted a family dynamic. The white woman had lovers how they were punished in different ways. Both women punished for finding happiness in their own way. I definitely slept on this movie. Good to have in my archives. "
