"I think this film captured perfectly the love/hate relationship between the instructor Terrence Fletcher and Andrew. During the film Fletcher shows no compassion or remorse whatsoeve towards andrew despite being a 1st year student. Fletcher needlessly pushes him to become the succesful drummer Andrew aspires to be all while simultaneously discouraging him from continuing his career as a musician by testing his determination. You’ll hate J.k Simmons but that just means he playd his role perfectly!"
