"This film is wonderfully tense and unnerving with the help of Sir Anthony Hopkins. His American accent is a little strange, but I can overlook it because of the strength of his acting. Anne-Margaret playing the role of a lonely and neglected housewife is a nice addition which plays well against the barren backdrop of the film. This is good thriller."
"So, you know that puppet in the Batman animated series that was ‘evil’ and always got shot to pieces? I’m pretty sure that dynamic was a tribute to this movie. While some things about it haven’t aged well (violent mentally ill people), it’s a surprisingly decent film- good cinematography, writing, and the acting is phenomenal. Also why NOBODY should consider themselves a prize for other people to win. If you liked Hitchcock’s Psycho and Anthony Perkins’ Bates, try this one."
"Oh, Corky, leave that dummy in the box. Scene-stealing performance by Burgess Meredith. "

"Wanted to see this because it sounded like a creepy puppet movie I saw in theaters as a kid called Making Contact. This movie is more psychological creepy puppet where as Making Contact is supernatural creepy puppet. Hopkins is creepy perfection as expected. The only down side is that I've never seen Burgess Meredith in anything other then as the Penguin in the old Batman TV show when I was a kid, so that's all I saw when he was on screen. Doesn't help he is always smoking a large cigar 😂 "
