Paul Snider is a narcissistic, small time hustler who fancies himself a ladies man. His life changes when he meets Dorothy Stratten working behind the counter of a Dairy Queen. Under his guidance Dorothy grows to fame as a Playboy Playmate. But when Dorothy begins pursuing an acting career, the jealous Paul finds himself elbowed out of the picture by more famous men.

"This is an extremely sad but true story, but Mariel Hemingway does a great portraying Dorothy Stratten, the would-be innocent yet sensual, beautiful star. Eric Roberts is excellent as the slimy and controlling Paul Snyder, Dorothy Stratten's husband. (Dorothy Stratton was in an episode of the 1980s sci-fi series 'Buck Rogers in the 25th Century,' one of my favorite series from that era.) Warning: ⚠️ Adult themes and language."
