"It’s Jan. 6th, 2021, and in Washington DC, political insanity seens to be reaching a fever-pitch. In a year when I’ve repeatedly said to myself “I can’t believe this is happening in the modern US”, I think it’s fitting the Trumbo reminds me that this isn’t our first rodeo with political insanity. It’s not comforting, but it does give me hope this President, the Rep Party, and their voter base will be held to account... at least by future history books, films, etc."
"I found this one at my local Dollar Tree. Honestly, when I bought it, I was more interested in who was in the movie than what it was about. I took a chance on it but i had looked up the rating on Imdb.com. I do like movies based on history and this is based on a dark history of hollywood. I had read the trivia years ago on Imdb for the movie Spartacus about putting the name of a black listed screen writer on screen credit for Spartacus. I don't think I understood that quite properly until I watched this movie. Sometimes this movie was uncomfortable in a good way ( A learning about something horrible way). I would definitely recommend this movie to others. I will recommend this movie to my adult son."
"On my favorites forever list. John Goodman gives one of his best performances"

"Brian Cranston delivers a performance of magnitude and confidence, capturing the calm but adamant personality of Trumbo beautifully. The supporting cast is also excellent in both their acting abilities and their impressions. Complete with a story that will make you cry, this is a film that you simply need to see. 8/10"
