"This movie was actually filmed on a remote island off the coast of Ireland. These British horror movies in the 1970s are a lot of fun to watch. This one is not by Hammer Productions like most of them were, but it is fun nonetheless. This time, Peter Cushing and company are battling a creature that looks like a creature from one of the episodes of the original Star Trek series. The villagers try to find out how to kill this creature that leaves its victims liquefied and without bones, and to keep it from multiplying. The actors do a wonderful job taking seriously this threat to their island community."
"This one kept me awake nights when I was a young teenager. For some reason, in the wee hours of the morning, just about everything sounded like those silicas!"
